After a 3-week delay to start of the 10U Central Kansas Baseball League, the Black Sox finished up their season by reaching a goal for overall wins, according to assistant coach Richie Ellis. The Black Sox finished 10-6 in league play.
"(The Black Sox) played hard, all 10 (boys). They played with a lot of heart to get better through out the year," Ellis added.
The Black Sox were head coached by Austin Moots, and helped by assistants Ellis and Dustin Moore.
During the delay, the Sox played in a tournament in Pratt. Then once league play began, they traveled to Great Bend and McPherson for double headers. From their, the Black Sox attended the Salina Tournament and won the championship. The Sox finished up at Fun Valley.
According to Ellis, they went into the last league game with 14 wins. Head Coach Moots put a goal of 15 wins out there for the boys and they won their last league game to capture 15 wins overall.
